Installer Portal Confidentiality and Data-Use Terms

Effective August 23, 2026. Controller: SecureView Technology. Questions and incident reports: sales@secureviewcameras.com.

These terms apply only to an installer business using SecureView’s invite-only portal. They do not approve, qualify, certify, employ, assign, or guarantee work to the installer and do not replace any separately approved work order, subcontract, licensing determination, insurance requirement, or payment term.

1. Permitted use

The installer may use portal information only to evaluate and, after SecureView’s required gates, perform the specifically invited SecureView project. The installer may not use it for marketing, solicitation, lead generation, resale, competitive intelligence, unrelated estimates, or any other purpose.

2. Before acceptance

Before accepting an offer, the installer may receive only the portal’s approved teaser fields: opaque project ID; owner-approved pay or rate; bounded scope; ZIP code; residential or commercial; camera quantity; average cable-run length; one- or two-floor indicator; response deadline; and controlled date-request instructions. The installer must not attempt to identify or contact the customer from those fields.

3. Restricted information after acceptance

Only after valid offer acceptance and SecureView authorization may the installer view the customer’s name, phone number, service address, and bounded arrival instructions. Customer email, access codes, credentials, network information, floor plans, camera views, security weaknesses, and other sensitive information are not authorized through this portal.

4. Handling restrictions

The installer must:

  • access restricted information only through its own authorized account and required MFA;
  • keep it confidential and limit access to personnel separately authorized for that project;
  • not copy, download, export, photograph, scrape, print, publish, sell, disclose, or place it in another system except as SecureView expressly authorizes for the project;
  • not contact the customer before SecureView confirms the schedule;
  • not subcontract or disclose project information to another person or company without SecureView’s prior written approval;
  • use no customer information for advertising, reviews, referrals, portfolio material, social media, or future business;
  • protect account credentials, report suspected compromise immediately, and stop access when SecureView suspends or revokes it;
  • follow SecureView’s instructions to return or delete project information and confirm deletion when requested.

5. Incidents

The installer must immediately report suspected loss, unauthorized access, disclosure, copying, account compromise, misdirected communication, or other security or privacy incident to SecureView through the designated support route. The installer must preserve relevant evidence, avoid notifying customers or third parties unless SecureView or applicable law authorizes it, and cooperate with containment and investigation.

6. Access duration and audit

Access is project-specific, logged, and revocable. Customer access ends on SecureView revocation, cancellation, account suspension, or the portal’s approved post-job expiration, whichever occurs first. SecureView may retain minimized security and transaction records under its approved retention schedule.

7. Separate approvals remain required

Portal access or offer acceptance does not establish legal qualification, licensing or permitting status, insurance sufficiency, employment, independent-contractor status, a confirmed schedule, customer acceptance, payment approval, or authority to bind SecureView. Those matters require their separate records and approvals.
